The School, which is open to healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, offers a training certified by the Spanish Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Plan (PNRCP) and the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and is endorsed by the Intensive, Critical and Coronary Medicine Spanish Society (SEMICYUC).

Statistics show that with a formally regulated training, such as the one offered by Cosaga Hospital, 70% of the total number of cardiac arrest casualties could be prevented, meaning some 80 lives a year could be saved if extrapolating these data to the city of Ourense.

With the launch of this Life Support School, Cosaga Hospital goes one step beyond in its healthcare commitment to the Ourense society.
